Feeling stuck
Feeling stuck in life: how to find direction without changing everything at once
You can feel stuck even when nothing dramatic is happening. Sometimes the direction that once made sense simply no longer fits the person you have become.

Why people can feel stuck
Feeling stuck can follow a breakup, move, career change, loss, exhaustion or a shift in priorities. It can also come from a conflict between what you want and what you think you should want.
Do not demand the perfect answer immediately
When everything feels unclear, demanding a complete plan can add pressure. Start with three questions: what no longer fits, what still matters, and what decision can safely wait?
Use contrast to find clarity
It can be easier to recognise what you no longer want than to define an ideal future. Turn that contrast into criteria: more time, more autonomy, a more reciprocal relationship, more creative work or less overload.
Run a small experiment instead of making a giant leap
One conversation, a trial day, a different routine for a week or one new boundary can teach you more than another month of rumination. Choose a low-risk experiment that gives you useful information.
When coaching may be useful
Coaching can provide a structured space to clarify choices, notice patterns and turn insight into action. It does not replace psychotherapy or mental-healthcare when clinical support is needed.
